Dunmeris headcanon: the glottal fricative /h/ is silent in onset position (at the beginning of a syllable), that's why Hlaalu is pronounced /la:lu/
I know jack shit about Dunmeris but might I add the idea that the letter 'G' is silent when placed in front of a consonant. It would explain why the 'Gnisis' in New Gnisis Corner Club in Windhelm is pronounced with out the G. And also how Nords will pronounce Gjalund's (the guy who's the captain of the boat that goes to Solstheim) as 'Gyalund' while the Dunmer on Solstheim pronounce it as 'Jalund'.
This is heavily based off of the speculated tree from UESP: Ehlnofex Languages featuring my own speculations.
Notes: Old Cyrodilic is partly based on Ayleidoon, Nedic and Tsaesci. Old Cyrodilic can be thought of as a pidegonlanguage or possibly a lingua franca.
*Dwemeris is spoken by some scholars, but not in a speech community.

The choice to call something a language versus a dialect is largely political so I went based off of my judgments.
I chose to call Snow Elvish, Snow Elvish over Falmeris because Gelebor prefers to be called a Snow Elf :)

Oh I LOVE this. Lines up pretty much with how I've always seen the language tree looking. Though that said I have always seen Reach Tongue as its own, independent, dialect of Nedic rather than descending from Bretic. If anything I'd see Bretic descending from the Reach Tongue, or something very similar sounding rather than vice versa. Something like...

I also like the connection from Dwemeris to Falmar language, it certainly makes sense. In game scholars (like Calcelmo in Markarth) have expertise in both and I'm gonna headcanon that it's because there are lots of borrowings from Dwemeris into the Falmer language (á la French influence on English after the Norm Invasion)
If you consider popping Ashland as a dialect that descended from Dunmeris, consider the possibility as well that they have the same root, Ald Chimeris, which diverged as different parts of Morrowind got settled. In other words, I think they would be parallel lines.
Okay I need to have a quick word with the fandom here, guys.
So, ‘dear boy’ does not mean what some of you think it means. Not from a guy who’s LARPing as an older English dude, anyway. It’s kind of just a phrase men use for each other, not exclusive to loved ones or even people you actually know. It’s also not necessarily a nice saying - quite often it’s a veiled way of saying ‘you absolute pillock’. Picture it being said in the most passive-aggressive tone humanly possible for the full effect.
Point is, Aziraphale probably says it a lot. There’s no point getting hung up on who he says it to, because the way he’s using it is not actually an endearment. Not like the way he says Crowley’s name, which I could probably write an essay about.
NOW we’re all on the same page.

‘Dear boy’ is far more of a statement about who Aziraphale is than who he’s addressing. It’s part of his vibe, it goes with the waistcoat and the manicure.
